Ho Karan Launches Stress-Busting Christmas Set

Ho Karan

Stress is now a big beauty buzzword, with consumers clamouring for products that will alleviate their stress and save their skin (see Stress-Busting Beauty). French personal care brand Ho Karan is tapping into this concept, with a Christmas gift set that is encouraging consumers to de-stress during the holiday season.

Ho Karan’s clever marketing and retail strategy is branding two of its most popular CBD skincare products into a gift set (called the Routine Detox set), which sells the key to a stress-free Christmas. This is a shrewd tactic, as 31% of Americans would describe the holiday season as “frantic” (US Highbush Blueberry Council, 2017).

The products in the kit aim to boost mental and emotional wellbeing using cannabidiol’s (CBD) relaxing effects on the brain, as well as counteract the effects of stress and external aggressors on the skin. For example, the Cannabooster Detox claims to purify the skin and tighten the pores with hero ingredients, such as seaweed and terpenes. Meanwhile, the Stupéfiante Cream hydrates, and counteracts the effects of stress in the skin with hyaluronic acid and cannabis sativa butter.

Touting its sustainable ethos, as well as providing a planet-friendly option for 360° Ethical Millennials, its packaging is made from recycled glass bottles and hemp fibres. This is a profitable strategy to tap into, as 72% of UK consumers would be interested in buying products made from recycled packaging (Mintel, 2018).
