Perfect Finnish

As part of the upcoming London Design Festival The Finnish Institute in London is about to launch HEL YES! a temporary restaurant and exhibition to highlight the Finnish design industry ahead of Helsinki’s tenure as the World Design Capital in 2012.

Created by a team of Finnish designers and food visionaries the space will showcase the best in Finnish design including furniture, lighting, textiles and tableware exclusives.

Diners at the restaurant will sit amongst willowy, hut-like structures, eat food designed to conjure the tastes of the Nordic forests and be seated on chairs created by renowned Finnish architect Alvar Aalto. Even the restaurant staff uniforms will come via Fashion EAST designer Heikki Salonen.
