Duplex, The Country Manor Restaurant

The Duplex restaurant in Los Angeles, which opened in July 2012, features a domestic design theme that is becoming increasingly popular in public spaces.

Intended to replicate a country manor, the restaurant – which specialises in rustic home cooking – consists of a number of areas representing rooms from a stately home. Interior features such as a fireplace, wingback chairs and bookcase walls help add to the domestic feel, encouraging guests to relax and feel at home.

Upon entry, diners are offered the option to enjoy a drink in the library-styled bar, or relax in the upstairs lounge. The restaurant area has been designed as an airy dining room, while a second dining area offers a 1970s theme complete with shag-pile carpets and smoky mirrors.
