Sleep Under the Stars

New York hotels, the AKA Central Park and The Affinia Gardens, are offering guests the opportunity to sleep under the stars.

At the AKA Central Park guests who book into the penthouse on the 17th floor can have the bed moved from the room onto the terrace, next to a wood-burning fireplace. Included in the $3,000 a night price tag is a bottle of champagne or vodka, chocolate covered strawberries, torches, an e-reader and a telescope for stargazing.

The four ground-floor terrace suites at The Affinia Gardens on the Upper East Side now feature tents for those who want to sleep outdoors, but maintain a level of privacy. The tent hire costs an additional $35 a night in addition to the $309 per night price. Sleeping bags are not available – but extra bedding is.
