WeTopia is an online social game from American developers Sojo Studios that aims to turn videogame addicts into philanthropists.

The game, similar in format to the wildly popular FarmVille, rewards players for managing micro-communities with a virtual currency – joy. It is turned into donations to their choice of partnering non-profit organisations, such as Save the Children and the Children’s Health Fund. Items purchased by players in the game, including medicine and trees, are also donated to the communities that the partnering organisations are working with in real life.
