Ernesto Neto: Net Sculptures

Brazilian artist Ernesto Neto’s recent exhibition at the Faena Arts Centre in Buenos Aires combines his trademark, large-scale web structures with a rich palette of dark and mid-tone colours.

Working with a large team to prepare and install the crochet work on show, Neto’s interpretation of the space blends earthy browns, organic greens, soft grey, navy blue, plum, teal and mustard yellow. His choice of colour palette aids him in transforming visitors’ spatial perceptions of the gallery during the exhibition, which was extended due to its popularity.
