While design-minded businesses and organisations took part as usual in this year’s Tokyo Designers Week, the main exhibition site of Meiji Jingu Gaien was bolstered by the addition of over 70 shops, galleries and cafes – incorporating music performances and art exhibitions into the programme. The hot pink branding announcing ‘Love for Earth, People and Objects’ was visible throughout Tokyo. And with DesignTide and Vogue’s Fashion Night Out also taking place during the week, creativity was rife in the city.
