Recently: Mobile to Magazine App

A new app that turns smartphone photos into a high-end monthly magazine launched last month.

Recently automatically curates, lays out and prints a magazine from 100 of your latest photos each month on durable, archival-quality paper.

What makes Recently different from the many existing photo-book services is its streamlined, one-click process and subscription model. Users just tap "upload" at the end of the month – although more hands-on users can still choose to edit, order and discard the images.

The service currently delivers one magazine copy to each user. However, it will eventually allow multiple people to subscribe to users' magazines, just like a conventional magazine subscription. This could make Recently popular with photo bloggers and others who wish to publicise their work.

"We've built Recently to work with all photo services and give people the opportunity to turn the digital world into a tangible one again – focusing especially on the thousands of photos they don't want forgotten, buried in an endless camera roll or publicly posted to a Facebook feed," the company said in a statement.
