Coco The Musical

Renowned fashion designer Coco Chanel is having her life story played out as a musical this month at London’s Sadler’s Wells theatre.

A remake of an original Broadway production, the story is set to look at Coco’s later life and her quest to maintain her iconic status as younger designers tried to outshine her.

The role of Coco, previously portrayed by Hollywood stars Katharine Hepburn and Ginger Rogers, is to be played by Olivier Award-winner Sara Kestelman – an English actress who has worked at both London’s Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre.

Tickets start at £22, available at sadlerswells.com. The show runs until 12 June 2011.
