Zuzunaga at Maison & Objet

Based between Barcelona and London, fashion and homeware design studio Zuzunaga debuted its Autumn/Winter 2012 collections at Paris design show Maison & Objet earlier this week. The Bitmap Collection of colourful knitted blankets was among its new home accessory designs.

Photographs of urban landscapes have been digitally manipulated into bitmap-compressed images to create the range of prints. Founded by designer Cristian Zuzunaga, the brand won the Maison & Objet 2012 Les Decouvertes (Discovery) award for Integrate: Time and Space – a woven collection inspired by alchemy and its transformative processes.

Fabricated in 100% merino wool, each bitmap design is available in two higly-saturated colourways. Zuzunaga will be showing the range at Tent during the London Design Festival next week. For upcoming highlights of the event, see Stylus’ Events report, London Design Festival: Preview.
