Selfridges Launches Logo-Free Project

London department store Selfridges will be selling limited edition logo-free products as part of its forthcoming ‘No Noise’ project, which aims to encourage both customers and brands to ‘seek tranquility in a world that bombards us with information’.

The movement makes a statement about the endless onslaught of branding, advertising and propaganda that consumers are faced with on a daily basis. The campaign encourages shoppers to focus on the product itself, rather than what we already know – or think we know – about the ‘un-branded’ brand.

Brands enrolled in the branding-free project include US denim giant Levi’s and luxury wonder product Crème de la Mer.

Selfridges’ ‘No Noise’ concept launches on January 11 2013.
