Bioscapes 2010

Now in its eight year, the Bioscapes Digital Imaging Competition sponsored by camera company Olympus honours excellence in microscopic life science photography.

The competition produces some inspiring and colourful images that according to Olympus’ vice president Osamu Joji, “forge an extraordinary bond between science and art.”

The winning photograph for 2010 features a microscopic view of a daddy longlegs insect, also known as a Harvestman or phalangium opilio.
