One-Eyed Gypsy Bar, LA

With a penchant for theatrical interiors, LA designer and hospitality entrepreneur Dana Hollister (whose other LA venues include Villains Tavern and Cliff’s Edge) has opened One-Eyed Gyspy – a new nightspot resembling a glamorous prohibition era speakeasy.

Channelling aspects of its former guise as a burlesque club called Bordello, the site is now a dark, carnival-inspired restaurant and bar. Each room has been individually decorated with hand-drawn wallpaper, quirky antiques and vintage fairground games. There is also an opulent, multicoloured stage for live entertainment.

Customers can use tickets from the games, which include a Fortune Teller machine and 1970s photo booth, to redeem food drinks from the bar.
