Modern Office: Containerville – Pop-Up Tech Hub

Containerville start-up offices

In response to the growing mobile workforce and the changing way in which we work, Containerville’s upcycled shipping containers in east London offer a ‘plug and play’ environment geared towards portable tech companies.

Ideal for start-ups and small businesses, the 30 containers are set across two floors. Each container can accommodate up to eight desk spaces and boasts high-speed internet access, allowing companies to move in and get started quickly and efficiently.

We spotlighted this growing trend for ‘activity-based working’ (ABW) – which focuses on the technology employees need and the space required for specific tasks, rather than their place of work – in The Living Workspace.

From co-working spaces to adjustable desks, forward-thinking brands are taking fresh approaches to office design to foster greater connection, productivity and community. We’ve noted a wave of unconventional furniture set-ups and brands embracing nature within tech-filled spaces as a result. Elsewhere, we cite the positive impact of wellness within work culture in Holistic Health.
