GoodGuide Gets Social


America’s GoodGuide, founded three years ago, has added community interaction to its website, which offers environmental and ethical information on household products from hair care to children’s toys.

The new service allows users to add profile pages and product scores. A section also shows products that are recommended (or criticised) by friends. With an iPhone app, consumers can scan product barcodes while on the move.

Founder of the GoodGuide Dara O’Rourke says, “People want the science and people want to know that people like me like this product.”
