Ars Electronica Festival 2012

Austria’s Ars Electronica Festival celebrates the interactions between art, technology and society. Held in the city of Linz since 1979, the theme of this year’s festival is The Big Picture – New Concepts for a New World.

Highlights include a conference featuring leading artists and scientists discussing the festival’s theme, a programme of film screenings, a music day celebrating electronic music and an exhibition of winners from the world’s highest endowed prize for digital arts, the Prix Ars Electronica.

Ars Electronica runs from August 30 to September 3 2012.
