Marking the first event in London’s formal summer season, The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is the most famous flower show in the world. Staged at the Royal Hospital in London (May 22-26), it is a key place for inspiration and spotting developments in the world of outdoor design.

A touch of formality returned to Chelsea this year with controlled structure and geometry found through clipped yew topiary, box hedging and a more formal layout altogether. This was loosened with mixes of grasses, wildflower meadow and mixed perennial planting.
