Kirin's Frozen Top

Japanese beer brand Kirin has developed Ichiban Shibori Frozen Draft – a new beer with a frozen foam top.

The foam is created using a process called Frozen Agitation, which blows air into the beer while it’s stirred and chilled. This keeps a refreshing brew cold for an impressive 30 minutes – perfect in the summer heat.

The draft is having a trial run in Tokyo, and will be launched throughout Japan in May 2012.

Beer is having its moment in the creative spotlight – look out for Stylus’ profile of Saint – a new lager that’s championing British Craft.
