Travelspinner: Holiday Matchmaker

A free service that matches specialist tour operators to consumers based on their holiday requirements has launched in the UK.

Travelspinner asks users a series of quick questions about the holiday type, destination, travellers, age and budget. The website then calculates the three best tour operators with expertise and specialist knowledge in the required areas, who send through tailored replies via Travelspinner’s server.

The company believes travellers are tired of wading through the internet’s endless expanse of information and peer reviews. The service is particularly useful for those looking for custom-built experiential holidays in the far reaches of the world.

Although Travelspinner currently receives no commission or payment, it plans to introduce standard fees on a per-lead basis as the site grows.

Travelspinner is not the first website to curate tour operators. TripEdge, which launched in 2011, offers a similar concept for travellers in search of low-cost holidays.
