Levi's Photo Workshop

Levi’s newest marketing strategy is a community-based photography workshop in New York. The second instalment in a series of workshop projects (the first was for printmaking in San Francisco), the initiative allows amateurs and professionals alike to rent vintage cameras, learn how to use them and have their films developed.

While photographers have to pay for film stills, digital formats including postcards, T-shirts and posters are all free. The Photo Workshop is situated in the space that formerly housed Deitch Projects in SoHo and includes a photographic studio with technical lighting and equipment.
