As part of London Design Festival 2010, UK retailer Mint presents HomeWorks, an exhibition in which 13 designers were asked to re-design identical vintage chairs. Originally belonging to a 1950s Danish shipyard canteen, each chair has been given a completely new and unique identity with each designer specially chosen for his or her individual and experimental craft touch. Examples include ‘Floral Bazaar’ by Katy Lilley and ‘Bambi’ by JamesPlumb. Exhibition runs until 30th September.
