Mattress Brand Launches CBD Gummies for Better Sleep

US mattress brand Casper is taking a lateral approach when it comes to facilitating better sleep with its new cannabidiol (CBD) laced gummies, launched in collaboration with California edibles brand Plus. This is a great example of brand stretch and demonstrates a truly empathetic and open-minded attitude.
Each purple Plus Sleep gummy contains 25mg of CBD, alongside calming chamomile, blackberry and one milligram of the sleep-inducing ingredient melatonin.
The gummies are sold through Casper's website and cost $35 for a tin of 14.
The mattress company's chief strategy officer Neil Parikh said in a press statement: "The options for sleep improvement have been historically limited to a late-night Google search or a prescription from your doctor. It's our mission to change that as the world's first Sleep Company. Introducing CBD sleep gummies with Plus allows us to bring a new way to relax and rest to those who need it."
As we've discussed before, the CBD market is booming, with savvy brands finding new ways for consumers to implement the health-boosting compound into their everyday lives.
Casper's launch is also an interesting cross-industry example of how brands are developing edible products that enhance sleep quality. For background research into this topic, see Natural Food Focus: Natural & Organic products Europe 2018 and Rebranding Health.
