US-based co-working company WeWork has opened a gym at its Financial District office space at 85 Broad Street in Manhattan.
The gym, called Rise by We, will be open to both members and those not already part of the WeWork network. Prices for non-members start at $100 per month, which includes four gym sessions, access to the WeWork digital network, and two credits per month to book conference spaces or work space at selected WeWork locations in the city.
The new fitness centre will consist of several workout zones, including a room for boxing, kickboxing and martial arts featuring punch bags and gloves, a room dedicated to cardiovascular activities such as running, rowing and functional fitness, and a mindfulness studio for yoga. There will also be an astroturfed hub for the gym's Turf personal training programme, which will include a fitness assessment including a 3D scan and a tailored workout plan.
The gym will additionally host a Roman-inspired spa featuring a sauna, steam room, cool showers and a warm pool with mineral salts to reduce muscle soreness.
