Pass it On: Ikea


In a bid to raise awareness of its sustainability credentials that will also please budget shoppers Swedish furniture giant Ikea has launched a new online initiative to facilitate the buying and selling of its used products.

Called Livet Hemma, which translates as life at home, advertising on the newly created website will be free of charge to Ikea family members.

The site aims to promote recycling and sustainability issues based around the home and although currently limited to Swedish consumers only may be rolled out to other territories in the future.
