ShowStudio: Pop Art meets Fashion Editorial

London-based photographer Nick Knight has collaborated with British stylist Katy England on a pop-art-inspired shoot for Moscow-based magazine, Garage. The editorial will feature in its Autumn/Winter 2012-13 issue, which is currently being edited by former Pop editor-in-chief, Dasha Zhukova.

The duo reimagined the late American artist Roy Lichtenstein’s comic-book-inspired paintings, which made him a leading figure in the 1960s pop art movement. England employed vibrant colours in the styling, resulting in graphic moving images reminiscent of the 2005 film Sin City.

Streaming of the full day’s preparations and final shooting can be seen on the ShowStudio website until July 23 2012. Garage A/W 12-13 will be available in September.
