Droog’s Try-Before-You-Buy Apartment

Dutch design-led homeware and furniture brand Droog has launched a try-before-you-buy experience for its customers – opening two rentable apartments fully furnished with its latest products in Ghent, Belgium.

Droog teamed up with Belgian product and installation designer Sofie Lachaert to design the apartments, which aim to showcase Droog products within a domestic environment. Ensuring every product in its current range gets a look-in, each apartment includes rooms that loosely replicate a restaurant, lobby, gym and library – also demonstrating the diversity and flexibility of the brand.

To encourage and facilitate sales, each apartment is also equipped with an iPad tablet, from which guests can directly order the items they’ve enjoyed using during their stay.

Depending on the length of the stay, the smaller apartment will cost between €225 (£184) for two nights to €1,200 (£980) for a month, while the larger two-storey unit will cost between €280 (£229) for two nights to €1,500 (£1,226) for a month to rent. Droog are currently offering a 15% discount to celebrate the launch.
