Robert Stadler: Shading

Austrian designer Robert Stadler launches his latest collection, Shading, at the Carpenters Workshop Gallery for the London Design Festival 2011. The collection is produced in the three primaries: red, yellow and blue, and colour is used throughout to emphasise the form of the works.

Shading displays the power of a single colour to distort our interpretation of a shape. Of particular note are the wall-mounted Light Spot pieces that use stepped tonal gradients of colour to reinvent the viewer’s perception of light cast on the gallery wall’s surface.

The collection is on display until November 12 2011.
