Verismo Coffee Machine: Starbucks at Home

US coffee chain Starbucks has launched a single-serve coffee system called the Verismo, which allows consumers to enjoy a Starbucks brew in the comfort of their own home.

Like its competitors, the Starbucks Verismo system uses coffee pods and hot water, but what distinguishes the Verismo is its ability to make ‘real-milk’ lattes, which the brand attributes to the Swiss engineered high-pressure technology, 2% dehydrated milk and a machine designed to brew milk pods at a different time and temperature than espresso pods. The Verismo tagline promises: “A perfect Starbucks Latte at home. And at the push of a button.”

The Verismo is available for $199. A $399 version will be available soon.
