New Features at In-Cosmetics 2018

Held in Amsterdam this year (April 17-19), the In-Cosmetics Global trade show brings together cosmetics brands and raw formula developers in the pursuit of beauty and personal care innovation. Ahead of the event, we’ve highlighted some exciting new features and initiatives that will aid new product and trend discovery. 

  • Silent R&D Tours: For the first time, In-Cosmetics will be running a series of ‘silent’ tours exclusively for cosmetic scientists, chemists and dermatologists focusing on two topical subjects. Visitors will be able to choose from two tours, Biotechnology Actives or The Future of Anti-Ageing, wearing wireless headphones to gain information about ingredients and technologies being launched at the show.

    The tours will feature visits to suppliers that are catering to either of these key personal care and cosmetic concepts, with quick product demonstrations. There will also be guided visits to the Innovation Zone – which acts as a launchpad for over 100 new and innovative ingredients – and the Sensory Bar, where participants can experience the latest textures and sensations. 
  • Educational Programme: Twenty new speakers have signed up for this year’s series of workshops and marketing trend presentations, giving visitors expert insights into several trend drivers. Noteworthy examples include The New Beauty Behaviours, a deep dive into two key beauty themes for 2020; Own It and Create It, hosted by Mariel Brown, director of futures at design agency Seymourpowell; and What’s Next from Asia, directed by Florence Bernardin, founder of Franco-Asian cosmetics experts Information et Inspiration.
