The Monocle x Zoe Summer Shop


Becoming almost as well-known for its savvy retail operations as its print work, the Monocle media brand has teamed up with Italian menswear boutique Zoe for a two-week pop-up in the Tuscan resort of Pietrasanta.

Designed to coincide with the brand’s 30 July launch of its second summer newspaper, Monocle Mediterraneo, the 12 sq m store is a fusion of design, culture, and craft. It joins a family of worldwide shops stretching across London, LA, New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

Held in an open-air kiosk with a courtyard, the store has been designed by Monocle’s London design team, and will sell a mix of co-branded beachwear, accessories, CDs, luggage, stationery, prints and music. It will also be the test bed for a handful of collaborative product launches, including a striped polo shirt by British brand Hackett.
