Luna Ring


As part of its “Shimizu Dream” set of future solutions, Japan's Shimizu Corporation published this year its lunar solar power concept – the Luna Ring.

The concept uses electric power generated by a belt of solar cells around the lunar equator, which is then transmitted and beamed to Earth from the near side of the Moon.
