From Nineties nostalgia to subtle instances of erotica easily assimilated to the huge popularity of the erotic novel trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James, prominent seasonal trends have emerged from NYFW’s catwalks. Lines and angles were particularly important in New York; Sixties stripes and asymmetric black geometry deceived the eye and balanced retro fun with mathematical futurism.
