MITx Circuits and Electronics Course

Esteemed US university the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has launched a free experimental accredited course that is taught exclusively online.

6.002x Circuits and Electronics, based on a campus course of the same name, is the pilot for MIT’s interactive online teaching platform MITx. All course material for the introductory course to electronics, including video lectures and e-textbooks, is accessed through an online portal and students will collaborate together in virtual laboratories.

MIT hopes the course will help it understand what content can be successfully delivered through future online MITx courses, and what still needs to be supported by face-to-face interaction with lecturers. 6.002x Circuits and Electronics will run from March 5 to June 5 2012.
