The new Philips Design Probe, Metamorphosis, explores design concepts that view the home as a protective filter and shelter.

Metamorphosis seeks to bring the feeling of nature into our homes but without the toxic elements of our external environment. Exploring the natural themes of light, air, sound and body, the design concepts aim to limit the pollution that penetrates our living space.

Designs include the Wave daybed concept: an ever-changing bed that transforms to complement your posture and position and takes the shape of your body. There's also the Solar Blowbot concept: a smart, solar-powered device that senses human presence and activity. It moves through the home and has been designed to visualise air by inflating and deflating to create gusts of wind.
