Thrilling Wonder Stories

Liam Young, co-founder of nomadic architecture practice Unknown Fields Division, and Los Angeles-based writer Geoff Manaugh are hosting the third instalment of the Thrilling Wonder Stories talks.

The event, held simultaneously in London and New York, charts a course from science fiction to science fact with talks, a hands-on taxidermy workshop, animatronic guests, swarm robotics demonstrations, datascapes walking tour and live movie soundscapes.

Speakers include Academy Award-winning visual effects supervisor for Inception Andy Lockley, experimental architect Philip Beesley, insect agriculturalist at Small Stock Foods Dave Gracer and designer, technologist, and researcher at the Near Future Laboratory, Julian Bleecker. Thrilling Wonder Stories 3 takes place at Architecture Association London October 28 and Studio X New York October 28-29 2011.
