JamesPlumb Wins Interiors Award

Earlier this month, British design duo JamesPlumb was announced as the winner of the Retail Interiors award at this year’s Inside World Festival of Interiors, in Barcelona.

The design that scooped the prize was the idiosyncratic-looking menswear store Hostem, located in East London. According to the judging panel, it won for its “handcrafted nature, simplicity and honesty – and great attention to detail throughout”.

JamesPlumb approached Hostem’s design as if it were an art installation, keeping the space fresh by incorporating contrasting textures, treated canvas on walls and ceilings, and upcycled furniture.
