Dressing Miffy

The Dick Bruna Huis, a 400 sq m room in Utrecht's Centraal Museum devoted to Dutch artist Dick Bruna’s famous cartoon rabbit Miffy, turns five this year – the year of the rabbit.

To celebrate, the museum has commissioned a series of party dress designs for Miffy by fashion designers including English label Boudicca, Dutch designers Saskia van Drimmelen and Claes Iversen, and Japanese designer Anrealage. Bruna has also designed a dress for the rabbit himself.

The illustrations and designs go on show today in the museum as part of an exhibition titled Miffy in Fashion, comprising more than 100 fashion-related designs for Miffy by Bruna.
