Daily Pattern Project

The Daily Pattern is a research project by Swedish designer Annika Syrjämäki, exploring the possibilities of content-based textile design, in which the daily news is used as the inspiration and content for the patterns.

News content is collected from six different English-speaking newspapers from around the world. The information is passed through computer programming application Processing – an electronic sketchbook programme – that analyses and generates printed and woven textile patterns.
