Burberry’s New Digital Marketing Platforms

British heritage fashion house Burberry has hired Dazed Group’s digital director Alistair Allan for a new role as head of digital platforms marketing, which will see strategy development for the brand’s digital projects.

Last year, Burberry began a push for digital development for its web presence, Burberry.com, also known as Burberry World – rolling out the site in six global languages. Online retail capabilities are expected in 45 countries at the end of 2011.

Burberry has been at the forefront of digital branding for years, with the recent ‘tweeting’ of its Spring/Summer 2012 collection before it hit the runway testament to its continuing digital initiatives.
