Air Shopping

Korean Air has announced that it will be fitting its new Airbus A380 jumbo jets with duty free shops designed (at least in part) by a team from cosmetics giant L’Oreal.

With every inch designed with optimisation of space in mind, the stores will feature all-white, pivoting display units, which will allow for storage during take off and landing – that will open up during the flight. There will also be video screens suspended behind the sales counter to show promotional material.

Staffed by sales assistants, the duty-free shops will be open for entire the duration of the flight, allowing passengers the unprecedented opportunity to shop all the way to their destination.
