Nike’s New Hi-Tech Concept Store

Sports giant Nike has opened a brand new hi-tech concept store at London’s Boxpark pop-up shopping mall.

The first of its kind, the Nike+ Fuelstation boasts a host of wow-factor features. These include digital mannequins (screens showing specific products worn by local sportspeople), interactive touch screens, its own running club, and a super-service on-site team, including nutritionists and physiotherapists, primed to provide expert advice.

One of the features likely to be popular with younger consumers is the Nike+ Fuelband interactive experience. This uses motion sensors embedded into a digital mirror/LCD screen to create a personalised piece of digital art unique to each customer. Connected directly to the internet, consumers can instantly upload and share the resulting image with friends in their social networks.
