Next’s Home and Garden Concept Store

British high-street retailer Next has opened a Home and Garden superstore in Shoreham, South England, in order to house every facet of its increasingly extensive empire. The brand now covers fashion, home and garden ranges.

Designed by international design agency Dalziel & Pow, the 56,000 sq ft industrially-styled space encourages consumers to try their hand at DIY and gardening via product ranges that include DIY flooring, fitted furniture, tools, sheds and plants. It reflects the increasing popularity of self-sufficient, consumer/creator-style pursuits (see Vision’s Control & Create Macroview).

Next currently has more than 550 stores throughout UK and Ireland, and 50 franchises in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. At the moment, there are no final plans for further Home and Garden stores.
