Hemingway - The Hotelier

A new brand of hotels will celebrate America’s hard-drinking, tough-talking, women-chasing laureate Ernest Hemingway.

Hemingway Hotels & Resorts will develop a group of properties that embrace the spirit and lifestyle of the writer, managed by Trust Hospitality. Locations are naturally linked to his life – although the brand claims it will also consider opening in places that simply offer the same opportunities for adventure as those that Hemingway lived in.

Restaurant offerings will be a key differentiator for the hotel group, as will the bars, which will serve a selection of the writer’s favourite tipples – from daiquiris to absinthe. The hotels will also feature a library.

The announcement precedes the release of an HBO film about Hemingway, starring English actor Clive Owen.
