Italian fashion brand Armani is launching a series of open discussions on social networking site Twitter led by a panel of industry experts. Inviting question submissions from Twitter users worldwide, the first topic of discussion is China and its emerging role as a ‘fashion superpower’.

The panel for the debut Armani Tweet Talks includes London-based blogger Susanna Lau, aka Susie Bubble; Canadian street style photographer Tommy Ton; editor-in-chief of Vogue China Angelica Cheung; Italian founder and chief executive of e-tail site Yoox Federico Marchetti; and fashion commentators Godfrey Deeny and Hung Huang. The conversation will be moderated and overseen by Peter Howarth, British fashion editor, author and founder of creative agency Show Media.

The live Twitter conversation will commence on June 1 at 2pm Central European Time. It can also be followed via the Armani website on the dedicated tweet wall. It is already live and displaying tweets that include the dedicated #ArmaniTweetTalks tag.
