Pre-Fall 2013: Narciso Rodriguez

After impressing with his minimal 90s Spring/Summer 2013 collection, Narciso Rodriguez didn’t disappoint with his offering for Pre-Fall, showing a modern, pared-down aesthetic for a streamlined trans-seasonal look.

Combining sharp tailoring with body-conscious cuts for a powerful, sexy look, Rodriguez presented a collection apt for the modern, urban woman. Sales-orientated in its approach, Pre-Fall traditionally offers more wearable looks then those seen on the runway collections that sandwich it.

Rodriguez’s customers were carefully considered as the designer retained his clean, directional edge while focusing on simple separates in order to provide something of a capsule wardrobe. Fine knits, leather accents and a predominantly neutral colour palette nodded to autumn, while bare arms and legs beneath conservative hemlines kept the collection fresh and accessible.
