Motorola’s Wall Mania

In Buenos Aires, Argentina, the much-anticipated visit of English musician Roger Waters of the iconic band Pink Floyd this month has triggered a wave of innovative brand sponsorship and promotions.

A particularly creative campaign from US mobile phone company Motorola is The Wall Mania, an art show initiative based on Pink Floyd’s 11th studio album The Wall. National and international artists are invited to interpret what the album means to them on public walls in the city.

The Wall Mania includes the work Tu Vision (Your Vision). The interactive audio-visual application allows users to post phrases over a wall, creating a version of the band’s famous track Another Brick in the Wall using the new Motorola Xoom tablet.

The show runs during Waters’ stay until March 20 2012, with brands using video and street art, photography and installations to tap the creativity of Buenos Aires, and enmesh themselves in the cultural fabric of the city.
