Reimagined Histories: Colour

A dark and opulent theme develops that seeks to preserve the past and breathe new life into discarded historical objects. Pre-existing designs are reclaimed and reinvented using modern techniques for an enriched, contemporary aesthetic that appreciates aged beauty.

Creatives draw colour inspiration from historical paintings, referencing Renaissance art and chiaroscuro techniques for invigorating light and shade effects. Nature is viewed through the filter of night for an enchanting yet mysterious mood.

Botanical green Foliage and Olive Oil are revealed through deep shadow tones of lustrous Blackbird and Indigo. Rich mid-tones such as Boysenberry and Brick dominate the palette, while Danger Red provides a striking accent, and Cognac evokes aged leathers and old wood. Shimmering jewel tones of Jasper, Blue Lustre and Gold Foil illuminate and revive.
