Forever 21’s UK Debut

London’s shopping mecca, Oxford Street, just got even busier thanks to yesterday’s arrival of US fast-fashion brand, Forever 21.

As one of the most hotly anticipated launches of the year so far, the store’s UK flagship (which takes over the building previously home to ailing music chain HMV) looks set to inject a fresh shot of energy into the UK’s most famous high street. It should also provide fierce competition for brands such as Topshop and H&M, which are currently ruling the directional youth sector.

US-based architect JT Nakaoka designed the three-storey space, which comes complete with glacier and kaleidoscope-themed rooms. The next London-based location will open on September 13 2011 as part of the grand opening of Westfield Stratford – Europe’s largest retail destination to date.
