Phorce: The World’s First Smart Bag

Dutch design team Marijn B. Berk and James Jeffrey have created the world’s first smart bag. The laptop bag has a series of built-in cables that allow it to charge up to three devices simultaneously; perfect for carrying a laptop, tablet and smartphone on the go. Available in USB or Mac models, the lightweight integrated battery holds enough power to charge an iPhone 5 more than eight times.
Bluetooth connectivity links the bag to a smartphone, allowing the user to check how much power the bag has left, or how long gadgets will take to recharge. Phorce can also send notifications to a smartphone when the battery is running low or when the phone is a certain distance from the bag – helping to prevent leaving Phorce in a cab or restaurant.
Phorce is practical in style, featuring waterproof zips and expandable sides. The strap system adds flexibility, allowing it to be used as a briefcase, shoulder bag or rucksack, while an additional strap fits over the telescopic handles of a suitcase.
Phorce is currently available on online crowd-funding platform Kickstarter for $119, and is expected to go into manufacture in Spring 2013.
