Jacques-Elie Ribeyron: Vanity Objects

France-based designer Jacques-Elie Ribeyron’s recent project, Vanity Objects, features pieces hand-crafted from blocks of the volcanic stone obsidian. The minimal design accentuates the stone’s reflective quality and smoky translucent hue.

The collection features a mirror, necklace hanger and jewellery box. Each object consists of a static stand and a movable functional component.

An appreciation for craftsmanship and material is further examined in the rationale of the Stylus Material Focus concept, Ultra-Refined.
